I am a contractor and needed to have a clients roof repaired quickly as the house was under a sales contract. I contacted Chris Childs. He responded promptly, meeting me onsite, even bringing a tech and the needed supplies to do a temp patch on a known leak. He and his tech quickly did the repair, photographed the entire roof for insurance. Chris provided me with a detailed estimate the next day and I submitted it to the owner who got immediate approval as the cost was below their estimate. Within 3 business days Chris had his crew onsite to tear off and replace the roof.Work was done in 2 days, site was spotlessly cleaned up including some minor debris that blew into the pool. FIST CLASS WORK! Prompt, Cost Effective and Quality Work!!!

We had had persistent leaking problem on the roof of a screen porch that the contractor and installed they he was both unable and unwilling to resolve. I contacted Eric after a personal referral. He responded quickly, came and out had appraised the problem. His appraisal was that due to a number of issues the best solution was to remove the existing roof and install the appropriate room. His price was reasonable. His crew arrive exactly on time and by 2:pm that day the job was completed and they were gone, leaving no mess. It is so refreshing in todays world to have a contractor do the job right and on time.

Added bonus, I received drone pictures of my roof before and after. Really cool!! Installation of gutters was also phenomenal.

We had Southern Roofing replace our roof on May 14, 2020. We were originally scheduled to do it earlier but delayed because of the shelter in place order. When we were ready to move forward, we reached out to Eric Schott. He worked with us to schedule and begin the process. His team was quick and respectful. We did the whole process without coming within six feet of anyone. And, the roof looks amazing. Eric was easy to work with and we appreciated how respectful everyone on his team was.

They protected all of our shrubbery with tarps and took extra precautions to make sure our home remained safe for our young children while they were on the property. I’ve lived in Cotswold for ~15+ yrs and had a roof that was leaking badly in a number of spots. Eric Schott came out the same day I contacted his company for an estimate and shortly thereafter he returned to discuss the detailed quote in person. He walked me through what to expect with the entire process – demo, likely number of rotten boards in certain spots due to the water damage, new downspout and gutter options (as well as the gutter guard options and costs), shingle options, warranty, etc. – and there were no surprises in the final bill even with all of the hidden damage. His crew was super friendly and fast, digging in the bushes to find nails, and the entire roof was completed in two days. One of his crew members kicked soccer with my son while we reviewed the new downspouts, too. Eric texted photos to me throughout the stages of the demo and repair so that I could see the condition of the roof boards once the shingles were removed, which boards needed replacing, what areas were okay, etc.. Eric and his company also replaced a neighbor’s roof a few years ago and I was impressed with the quality of the work, so I highly recommend Southern Roofing for any of your roof repair. The timing could not have been better given all of the rain we’ve had in Charlotte, so big thanks to his crew for such high-quality work! – Jim McCormick
