Our Story
Southern Roofing was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, by Eric Schott, who began his career in new home sales. Surrounded by construction every day, Eric saw the need for a roofing company built on honesty, professionalism, strong communication, and putting the customer first. With those values as his foundation, he launched Southern Roofing and grew the company through one simple philosophy: “Do good work every time, and word of mouth will take care of the rest.”
Over the years, Eric’s passion and dedication inspired his son, Mac Schott, to follow in his footsteps. In 2025, Southern Roofing expanded to Charleston, South Carolina, with Mac leading the Low Country Branch as President. Together, father and son continue to uphold the same values Southern Roofing was founded on, making sure every customer receives exceptional service, trusted workmanship, and a roof built to last.
